Solid, is a Southampton Learning Inclusion Diversion
project delivered in partnership with Southampton City Council,
and works in in the Weston area of Southampton.
The project delivers 'open access' play sessions lasting up to three hours aimed at 8-13 year olds using a mixture of local community centre, schools and youth centres and the SOLID van, which has been converted into a mobile youth club with on board IT facilities and seating for up to 13 young people at a time. The range of activities include:
The Play Co-ordinator for SOLID works closely with other local agencies and communities groups to develop other facilities and activities for the young people in Weston.
